Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Dubai-based technology team.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software components for smart infrastructure and IoT-based systems, contributing to the backbone of our next-generation Smart City platforms.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Technical skills & Tools:

· Minimum 10 years experience using Java;

· Good knowledge of Java 17 or higher;

· Good knwoledge of database creation and management (postgreSQL, H2);

· Good knowledge of Spring framework (spring boot, spring security, spring web, spring data);

· Good knowledge of Java Database Connectivity – JDBC (sql, transactions);

· Good knowledge of Object relational maping – ORM (Hybernate, JPA);

· Good knowledge of Git for code management;

· Good knwoledge of Maven, Jenkins, GitLab for continous integration.

 Soft Skills:

· Excellent communication skills;

· Ability to work both in a team and alone and to manage your own workload;

· Ability to work under pressure;

· Problem solving skills;

· An excellent command of the English language.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Focusing on the delivery of high quality clean code;

· Creating and managing databases;

· Server Side Programming in Java;

· Unit Tests for delivered code;

· REST endpoints (spring controlers, jackson);

· Documenting the code for a JavaDoc type output;

· Design and development of core application modules;

· Maintaining project technical infrastructure (continuous integration, automated deployment);

· Task breakdown and effort estimation;

· Peer review, mentoring;

· Bug fixing, test writing.
