Job Title (Internal and External): Automation Specialist/ Tech Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. This role requires strong technical expertise in automation tools and programming languages, along with the ability to analyze complex systems and develop innovative solutions. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to optimize IT processes and workflows.
- Serve as a technical lead, providing guidance and support to junior team members and assisting in their professional development.
- Develop scripts, workflows, and templates to automate repetitive tasks, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing infrastructure and third-party tools to ensure seamless operation and compatibility.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of automation scripts to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze existing systems, and identify automation opportunities.
- Document automation processes, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT automation and incorporate them into the organization's automation strategy.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and assist in their professional development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business needs, prioritize automation initiatives, and deliver timely solutions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) working as an IT Automation Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Strong proficiency in workflow design and automation using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, or similar.
- Experience with system integration technologies and protocols, such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration and automation platforms such as Nintex, UiPath, or similar.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their respective automation services.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Puppet Certified Professional, or similar.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus).
- Certification in workflow automation or integration technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, UiPath RPA Developer, etc.).
- Knowledge of workflow design best practices and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Knowledge of configuration management best practices and security standards.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
