Software Developer: C#, LINQ, .NET, ASP.NET

Location: Markham, Ontario (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 months (extendable) – Option for Full Time

About the Role

The Automation Development Team is seeking a Software Developer to join a dynamic, multi-developer firmware team. You will design, develop, and support software tools that configure and assist systems running on in-house/adapted hardware. This role involves both front-end and back-end development and reports to the Senior Software Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture system-level requirements by collaborating with firmware developers and configuration tool teams.
• Define scope, provide estimates, and justify with supporting facts.
• Apply Agile software development lifecycle principles.
• Participate in technical discussions, design sessions, and present ideas.
• Deliver tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet product release goals.
• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and automation.
• Write clean, standards-compliant code using selected technologies.
• Utilize Git, Confluence, Jira, and Jenkins for daily activities.

Must-Have Skills

• 7 Years of Object-Oriented Analysis & Design, Software Design Patterns, REST architecture, and ASP.NET principles.
• 7 Years of extensive experience in C#, LINQ, .NET in a professional setting.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, MVC, Blazor Integration, and Data handling.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Database.
• Tools & Methodologies: C#, LINQ, .NET, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, SAFE Methodology

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Web development experience (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS).
• Unit testing experience with xUnit.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, adaptability, proactivity, responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.
