About the Role

Zimetrics is looking for a talented UI/UX Designer who can create clean, user-centric digital experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable products and interfaces across web and mobile platforms. This role requires strong visual design skills, a solid understanding of UX processes, and the ability to translate insights into high-quality UI systems.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience and Research

• Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability tests
• Define user personas, user journeys, task flows, and information architecture
• Identify UX gaps in existing products and propose improvements
• Convert business requirements into meaningful design solutions

UI and Interaction Design

• Create wireframes, low and high fidelity prototypes, and interaction flows
• Design visually consistent and scalable UI systems aligned with brand and design guidelines
• Create responsive web and mobile UI screens that balance usability and aesthetics
• Work on micro-interactions, motion concepts, and UI animations where needed

Collaboration and Execution

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders through the design life cycle
• Prepare and present design concepts, rationale, and solutions with clarity
• Participate in design critiques and contribute to improving design standards
• Ensure smooth design to development handoff with proper documentation

Required Skills and Capabilities

Core UX Skills

• UX research methods and usability testing
• Personas, journey maps, IA, task flows, and UX audits
• Wireframing, prototyping, and UX documentation

Core UI Skills

• Strong visual design fundamentals including typography, layout, and color theory
• Design systems and component based UI thinking
• Ability to create modern, clean, and scalable UI for web and mobile

Tools to Know

• Figma as the primary design tool
• Miro or FigJam for collaborative brainstorming
• Notion or Confluence for documentation
• Tools for motion and prototyping such as Principle, ProtoPie, or After Effects (good to have)
• Usability testing tools like Maze or Lookback (good to have)

Technical and Design Practice Skills

• Familiarity with design systems and atomic design methodology
• Ability to prepare developer handoff specs using Figma
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and component based development workflows
• Awareness of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design principles

Nice to Have

• Experience working with enterprise products or SaaS platforms
• Exposure to AI powered design workflows
• Ability to create UI illustrations, icons, or motion elements
• Knowledge of analytics based design decision making
