POSITION DESCRIPTION


The objective of this position is to design and enhance the overall digital experience of Karma Group’s web and mobile platforms through user-centered design practices. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for translating business goals and user needs into intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling digital interfaces. This role aims to ensure a seamless and consistent user journey by conducting industry and competitor research, defining effective information architecture, and developing user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. Additionally, the designer will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain design coherence across all modules, review deliverables, and ensure that all digital touchpoints reflect the brand’s vision, usability standards, and best design practices.



RESPONSIBILITIES


User Research & Analysis

  • Conduct research on user behavior, market trends, and competitor products within the hospitality industry.
  • Identify user pain points and opportunities for improving the overall user experience.
  • Translate research insights into actionable design recommendations.

Information Architecture & Wireframing

  • Develop clear information architecture and user flows for web and mobile applications.
  • Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes to visualize design structure and user journeys.

UI Design & Prototyping

  • Design visually engaging, intuitive, and brand-aligned interfaces for both app and web platforms.
  • Build interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.
  • Ensure all designs follow usability best practices and responsive design standards.

Vendor Collaboration

  • Coordinate with existing and potential vendors to understand the modules they handle and assess their impact on the user experience.
  • Review vendor deliverables, suggest improvements, and ensure visual and functional consistency across all integrations.
  • Maintain documentation and communication flow to align vendor work with Karma’s design vision.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and content teams to ensure seamless design implementation.
  • Participate in project planning, sprint reviews, and design discussions to align design outcomes with business goals.

Design Systems & Brand Consistency

  • Develop and maintain the design system, UI components, and style guides to ensure consistent design language.
  • Uphold Karma’s brand identity across all digital products and communication materials.

Testing & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct usability testing and collect feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Iterate designs based on insights and performance metrics to improve the product continuously.

Tools & Technical Proficiency

  • Use design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant animation libraries to create and manage design assets.
  • Stay updated with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to enhance creative and technical output.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in UI/UX Designing.
  • Certification or diploma in UI/UX Design or Interaction Design (preferred).
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Understanding of web and mobile design principles.
  • Awareness of design thinking and accessibility standards.
  • UI/UX design principles and user-centered design methodology.
  • Information architecture and user flow design.
  • Wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing processes.
  • Visual design fundamentals — typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Design systems and component library management.
  • Responsive web and mobile app design standards.
  • Hospitality industry trends and user behavior patterns (preferred).
  • Knowledge of animation libraries and micro-interactions.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JS understanding).
  • Accessibility and user experience best practices.
