Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in London, working closely with our DevOps Technical Lead based in Copenhagen. This role is critical in bridging development and operations, ensuring smooth CI/CD processes, robust infrastructure management, and secure operations across private data centres and AWS cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Configuration as Code, alongside hands-on experience with self-hosted CI/CD platforms (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity) and BitBucket.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and Git-based workflows for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Manage and optimize hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premise private data centres and AWS.
- Develop and enforce Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices across environments.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security through proactive monitoring, alerting, and automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues in production environments.
- Collaborate closely with the DevOps Technical Lead (based in Copenhagen) and cross-functional teams (developers, QA, operations and ITOps).
- Implement disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies.
- Advocate for modern DevOps practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, infrastructure, or systems engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tooling, especially Octopus Deploy, TeamCity and BitBucket.
- Solid background in Linux/Windows system administration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (networking, IAM, compute, storage).
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent).
- Understanding of compliance/security frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC2, PCI DSS).

Education & Certifications
