Design Intern

We looking for an emerging designer to join our team for a 3-month internship. You'll primarily work on digital design (products and websites - UX and UI), and brand and communications design.

This is a hybrid role. The expectation is that you'll be in our Collingwood studio 'most of the time', so more than half of the 5-day working week.

About The Role

You'll be supporting our designers in their day-to-day work, sourcing interesting reference and inspiration for art direction, helping set-up and roll out systems of design in Figma, attending meetings and workshops, and getting a feel for what it's like to be in a leading design team.

You'll work collaboratively beyond the design team with our multidisciplinary project teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Your supporter will be an experienced Art Director and designer leader at Today.

Requirements

We're looking for:

• An emerging designer who is curious, eager to learn, and passionate about affecting social and environmental impact through great design.
• Someone interested in pursuing a career in digital, brand, and communications design
• We don't expect you to have an amazing folio yet, but we do need you to know your way around Figma
• An active interest in AI tooling, AI ethics and/or motion design will be highly regarded

The details

• This role is during regular studio ours (9-5pm) and hybrid, with the expectation that the majority of your week is in-studio, in Collingwood
• You must be legally able to work in Australia without restrictions
• Position available immediately
