In this role, you'll:

  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and design vendors to deliver continual improvements to TfNSW’s digital products, including websites, travel apps, and intelligent systems.
  • Lead and contribute to user experience (UX) planning to ensure digital solutions are intuitive, accessible, and aligned across platforms.
  • Gather, analyse, and refine requirements from stakeholders and customer feedback to inform design priorities and validate solutions through research and analytics.
  • Provide expert advice on information architecture and content structure to enhance usability, accessibility (e.g., for hearing and vision-impaired users), and alignment with best practice standards.
  • Champion a customer-centred approach to digital design, ensuring products are functional, inclusive, and consistent across web and app experiences.

Note, this is a fixed-term opportunity till end of April 2026 with a possibility for extension.

About You

  • UX/UI design for mobile apps and responsive websites
  • Concepting wireframes, prototypes and user flows
  • Design thinking methods and best practices
  • Design systems and governance
  • Design and prototyping tools including Figma, Protopie and Miro
  • Strong understanding of UX research methodologies
  • Leveraging customer research and testing tools to inform design decisions
  • Understanding of accessibility & WCAG standards
  • Stakeholder management and working within AGILE delivery teams
  • Strong understanding of website and iOS & Android platform usability and digital customer experience
  • Knowledge and experience of web technologies such as html, css, content management systems, search engines and web analytics tools
  • Experience in engaging and translating business stakeholder requirements to deliver end-to-end solutions in line with technology policies and standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering outcomes in a team environment.
