My client is looking for a skilled Java Developer to join their expert engineering team working on large-scale, mission-critical enterprise projects that power some of Finland’s most trusted organizations.
This is an opportunity to work in a modern, forward-thinking development environment, collaborating with senior architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance software solutions that make a real impact.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Jakarta EE).
- Collaborate on system architecture and integration across complex platforms and services.
- Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and data processing pipelines.
- Ensure reliability and performance through code reviews, testing, and optimization.
- Work in close cooperation with DevOps and QA to ensure seamless delivery and scalability.
- Participate in agile development cycles, bringing new ideas and technical insights to the table.
Requirements:
- Several years of professional Java development experience.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful API development.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented principles.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges.
- Fluent in English; Finnish language skills are an advantage but not required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in enterprise integrations (SOAP, messaging queues, Kafka).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue) is a plus.
- Background in high-availability systems, security, or performance optimization.
