EPAM is looking for a Testing Capability Lead to drive the end-to-end testing strategy across six value streams in a complex delivery landscape. This is a strategic leadership role focused on ensuring testing capability, consistency and quality across teams while supporting continuous delivery of monthly releases. The successful candidate will provide centralized governance, enable value stream autonomy and play a key role in critical release decisions.

We offer a hybrid work model with a mix of remote and on-site work at EPAM’s Dublin office.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall testing strategy, standards and governance model across all value streams
• Monitor testing metrics and quality KPIs, providing transparency and insight to senior stakeholders
• Coordinate end-to-end and package testing across multiple agile teams, managing dependencies and integration points
• Collaborate with Non-Functional Testing, Operations and Development teams to ensure release readiness
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes, tools and frameworks
• Drive adoption of shift-left testing and risk-based testing practices
• Facilitate retrospectives and knowledge sharing across teams to promote quality excellence
• Manage testing documentation, training and capability development
• Contribute to go/no-go decisions and advise leadership on release quality and risks

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software testing, including 3–5 years in a test leadership or architecture role
• Proven experience establishing and governing testing strategies in complex multi-team environments
• Background in banking or financial services preferred
• Hands-on experience with mobile testing (iOS/Android), ideally using React Native
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, API/backend testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with non-functional testing (performance, accessibility and security)
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
• Skilled in metrics analysis and data-driven quality reporting
• Strong leadership, coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including C-level engagement
• Confident in making and defending go/no-go release recommendations

Nice to have

• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
• Experience with React Native and mobile testing frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies
• Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies
• Exposure to risk-based testing or continuous quality initiatives
• Experience mentoring or coaching testing professionals
