Program Overview

A leading commercial organisation are embarking on a transformative program to uplift their business performance management framework, data ingestion and reporting across the organisation. This initiative aims to build a 'balanced scorecard' to ensure consistency and alignment in performance reporting across all business units.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact program that will shape the future of data ingestion and reporting for the organisation. You'll work with a diverse range of stakeholders and have the chance to make a significant difference in how the organisation operates.

Location: North Ryde (3 days on-site)

Contract Duration: Initially through to EOFY 2025, with a strong likelihood of extension due to the significant scope of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the program to develop and implement a balanced scorecard across four key business units.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business units to gather feedback and ensure their needs and priorities are reflected in the balanced scorecard.
  • Work closely with the program sponsor and stakeholders to drive the program forward.
  • Establish governance structures and refine the scope of the program, currently in the initiation phase.
  • Focus on data ingestion and consolidation, bringing disparate data points from various sources into a unified reporting framework.
  • Collaborate with an external data consultancy to consolidate and standardize data into a central PowerBI environment, reducing the current 11,000 dashboards to a unified data hub.
  • Utilise a finance SME for data gathering and analysis tasks as needed.
  • Navigate and manage stakeholder engagement challenges, particularly with business units that are less aligned with the program's goals.
  • Adapt to and manage the pace of the project, employing Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

Challenges

  • Engaging stakeholders effectively, especially in business units that are less supportive of the program.
  • Accelerating the current pace of the project to meet deadlines and deliverables.

Experience Required

  • A seasoned Project Manager with a proven track record of end-to-end project delivery.
  • Strong ability to engage and hold conversations with executives, demonstrating high emotional intelligence (EQ).
  • Deep understanding of finance, particularly financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and data management.
  • Expertise in data ingestion and consolidation, with the ability to integrate disparate data points into a cohesive reporting structure.
  • Proficiency in KPIs, metrics, and performance goals.
  • Solid background in finance, business processes, and operations.
  • Ability to liaise with IT and external data consultancies to consolidate data into a central hub.
