Role Summary
As a Project Manager SAP HCM Payroll, you will take full responsibility for the successful planning, management, and delivery of projects from complex transformation programs to rollout initiatives within our SAP HR solutions landscape.
You will lead national and international teams (onshore and offshore), ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and act as a key expert contact for our clients. Leveraging your SAP HCM/Payroll expertise, you will actively shape project outcomes and also contribute to pre-sales activities.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead SAP HR / HCM projects throughout the entire lifecycle from design to post-implementation support
- Analyze, plan, and optimize HR and payroll processes while serving as the primary contact for clients
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources, including reporting and risk management
- Coordinate onshore and offshore teams and ensure effective stakeholder communication
- Support pre-sales activities, including proposal structuring, effort estimation, and client presentations
- Ensure quality and continuous improvement through the application of best practices (e.g., SAP Activate, SCRUM, PRINCE2)
Your Experience and Skills
- Several years of experience managing SAP HR / HCM projects, ideally with a focus on Payroll
- Solid knowledge of SAP HR/Payroll processes and an understanding of related HR topics
- Proven experience leading interdisciplinary, international project teams
- Confident in both traditional and agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Strong communication and presentation skills when engaging with clients and internal stakeholders
- Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken) with a solution-oriented and responsible working style
