Description
The Trainee Systems Developer will support the development and maintenance of internal tools used by different teams. The trainee must be eager to learn, work closely with experienced developers, and help improve both front-end applications and backend database processes.
This role is ideal for someone starting their career in IT or software development and looking to build practical experience in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and updating simple web applications for internal users.
- Learn to write and fix SQL queries to manage and process data.
- Help investigate and solve technical issues in applications to provide timely fixes and workarounds.
- Support documentation of code changes and technical processes.
- Work with senior developers and business teams to understand needs and help build
- solutions.
- Help test new features and updates to ensure they work correctly.
- Stay curious and open to learning new tools, languages, and technologies.
- A basic understanding of databases and how to use SQL.
- Some hands-on experience with VBA (from school, personal projects, or internships).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A strong willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Alternatively, a degree in Finance or Economics with a strong interest in technology is also welcome.
- Practical experience with VBA for applications, gained through studies, internships, or personal projects.
- Understanding of relational databases and T-SQL, including writing queries and stored procedures.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A strong willingness to learn and grow professionally.
