Software Engineer JavaScript, Luxembourg (Onsite) – European Investment Bank

Job role: Software Engineer JavaScript.

Location: Luxembourg (Onsite).

Studies: Master’s (preferable) degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Language: English (C1).

Description

Tasks:

  • Conduct thorough review and analysis of functional and technical requirements.
  • Design software solutions and provide accurate effort estimations.
  • Implement programming changes using Python, Java, JavaScript, XML, WSDL, and SQL.
  • Perform unit testing to validate functionality and ensure code quality.
  • Investigate and resolve software bugs and defects across environments.
  • Provide second-level support for production issues and escalated technical inquiries.
  • Follow up on reported problems and ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and improve system stability.
  • Automate CI/CD processes and manage infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer in SQL and Javascript technologies (React; Angular, etc).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Outsystem.
  • At least 3 years of experience in React/ReactNative/JavaScript.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Anaconda and Python.
  • Proven experience in JBOSS/Java/JSF/Spring Boot.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Sybase DB, Oracle DB, Postege DB).
  • Experience in building APIs and Kafka for both internal and external products.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD using Jenkins, Maven, AzureDevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Kurebernetes, Linux, HELM.
  • Continuous build and integration using Sonar and Liquibase.
  • Github or another source code repository.
  • Experience with the following frameworks and technology:
  • Java (11), Spring Framework, REST / SOAP webservices, JMS, React.
  • Shell scripting (Unix, bash, shell).
  • DBMS Systems (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL).
  • Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat, NodeJS, Spring, etc.).

IT skills:

  • JavaScript (React, Angular, React Native), Python, Anaconda, Java (including Java 11), SQL, XML, WSDL, Shell scripting (Unix, Bash).
  • Spring Boot, JSF, NodeJS, OutSystems, Spring Framework.
  • SonarQube, Liquibase, Unit testing.
  • Jenkins Maven Azure DevOps Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Linux, HELM, Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • AWS, Azure.
  • Sybase, Oracle, MySQL.
  • GitHub, REST / SOAP APIs, Kafka, API development, Web services, JMS.
  • Agile methodologies, root cause analysis, second-level production support, JBoss, Tomcat.

Language:

  • English (C1).

Location:

  • Luxembourg (Onsite).

Rate:

  • 210-270€/day, depending on experience. More flexibility in rates for senior profiles (4+ years of experience).
