We are looking for a highly experienced and versatile Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our IT infrastructure and cloud environments to join our Sisvel team in Luxembourg!

The ideal candidate will bring over 5-10 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, security systems engineering, cloud technologies, and project management. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities:

M365

• Design and implement Microsoft 365 solutions such as Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, etc.;
• Lead and support migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft 365 (e.g., file servers to SharePoint);
• Configure and manage identity, access, and compliance features across Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments, ensuring adherence to industry best practices;
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues; provide ongoing operational support and performance tuning of Microsoft environments;
• Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, gather requirements, and deliver tailored technical solutions;
• Conduct training sessions, documentation, and knowledge sharing with IT teams and end-users to ensure long-term success of implemented solutions.
• Configure and manage the backup solution: Avepoint

Infrastructure Cloud Strategy & Governance

• Develop and execute mid-to-long-term strategic plans for IT infrastructure and cloud transformation;
• Ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, CIS, etc.);
• Design and manage hybrid private and public cloud environments (Azure, AWS or similar);
• Lead migration projects from on-premise to cloud platforms;
• Implement automation and orchestration tools to streamline operations.

Security, Networking & Compliance

• Oversee infrastructure security as Level 2 & 3 support, including firewall, network, servers, and endpoint protection;
• Conduct risk assessments and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans;
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal audit requirements;
• Configure and manage Sophos Firewall;
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing;
• Automation and scripting: PowerShell, technical documentation.

Project Leadership

• Lead cross-functional infrastructure projects from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• From 5 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, and security.
• Proven experience in managing enterprise IT environments with a strong knowledge on Azure (VMs, networking, AKS, VNet, SQL) & M365 cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, networking (TCP/IP, Cisco), virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Copilot and other AI knowledge is considered a plus.
• Experience with ITIL processes, and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications (Preffered): Agile Scrum Project Management or equivalent, ISO 27001 is considered a plus, Security certifications are a plus.
• Languages: Fluent in spoken and written in English (other languages are considered a plus).
