The position

As a DevOps Engineer MAD Migration at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports, and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

You will help accelerate the adoption of a new data platform. In this role, you will guide users through the migration process, ensuring a smooth and impactful transition. You will act as the bridge between the product team and data users across the organization.

• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to understand use cases and migration needs.
• Execute and support the migration of Databricks components (notebooks, jobs, dashboards, secrets, connections, etc.) to the new platform.
• Assist users in binding data to catalogs, configuring new environments, and validating end-to-end functionality.
• Identify blockers and work with the product engineering team to resolve them.
• Provide hands-on guidance to ensure successful onboarding and platform adoption.
• Document best practices, lessons learned, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Act as the voice of users by sharing insights and feedback to help shape future product iterations.

What You Bring to the Position

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure, plus familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
• Strong understanding of data workflows, catalogs, and workspace management in Databricks.
• Experience working with stakeholders and translating technical requirements into structured migration steps.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—comfortable interacting with both engineers and analysts.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and find pragmatic solutions.
• Experience with migration projects or platform onboarding is a strong plus.
