Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and responsive FSO, Desktop, and Hands & Feet (H&F) Support Engineer to provide essential on-site technical support for scheduled activities. This role involves handling dispatch requests and performing hands-on maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of desktop systems, IT hardware, and network infrastructure. The engineer will be expected to carry out tasks within a 4-hour activity window, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal support to end-users and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Field Support Operations (FSO):
- Respond to urgent or scheduled dispatch requests, providing on-site technical support within a 4-hour timeframe.
- Coordinate logistics for equipment delivery and on-site support, ensuring all necessary hardware and tools are available.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues as they arise during the dispatch.
- Provide general support for IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring that operational efficiency is maintained during on-site interventions.
- Desktop Support:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, laptops, and peripheral devices on-site.
- Provide support for operating systems (Windows, macOS), ensuring they are correctly set up, patched, and configured.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, including OS errors, application crashes, printer connectivity, and peripheral issues.
- Ensure end-user devices are up-to-date with software updates and security patches.
- Hands & Feet (H&F) Support:
- Perform physical IT-related tasks, including server room organization, hardware replacements, cable management, and setup of network equipment.
- Assist with hardware installations, removals, and upgrades as part of scheduled projects.
- Handle tasks like powering on/off systems, connecting devices to networks, and managing physical infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure that all equipment is installed correctly, functioning properly, and meets organizational standards.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, operating systems, networks, and other IT equipment.
- Respond to tickets or requests related to device failures, user support issues, or facility-based hardware problems.
- Provide on-site technical assistance during system migrations or deployments as required.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Record and document all support activities, including tasks completed, issues resolved, and any follow-up actions needed.
- Provide detailed reports on completed activities and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure clear communication with end-users and internal teams about status updates and resolutions.
