Are you a data enthusiast with a passion for uncovering hidden insights and driving impactful change? Our dynamic and successful team is expanding its remit, and we're looking for an ambitious Operations Analyst to join our Technology Operations Team. You'll play a crucial role in empowering our business to make data-driven decisions, building on our proven track record of affecting change through metrics, reporting to the Senior Manager of Technology Operations.

We are the 'hub' of reporting across Engineering, Product, and Data Operations, giving you a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how a technology organization measures and reports on various productivity, delivery, quality, and ultimately value metrics. This is a new and exciting opportunity for our business, offering significant scope for impact and growth. If you thrive on working with data, enjoy telling compelling stories with numbers, and are ready to make a tangible difference, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do:

  • Acquire and Prepare Data: Source data from various systems, including via API connections, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Transform and Model: Clean, transform, and model large datasets to prepare them for analysis, identifying key variables and relationships.
  • Analyse and Interpret: Apply your knowledge of statistical models and analytical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and hidden insights within complex operational data.
  • Visualize and Communicate: Develop clear, concise, and executive-appropriate reports and data visualizations that effectively communicate complex connections and findings to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Storytell with Data: Translate data insights into actionable recommendations, crafting compelling narratives that empower the business to make informed, data-driven decisions. The metrics and outputs you provide will directly inform product deliverables.
  • Collaborate and Influence: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Data Operations teams to understand their challenges and provide data-driven solutions that drive operational improvements.

What you'll bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar quantitative field.
  • Proven experience working with large datasets and a strong understanding of statistical models.
  • Hands-on experience with the full data lifecycle: obtaining data (e.g., via API), transforming data, analyzing data, and data visualization.
  • A passion for storytelling with data and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • A proactive, curious, and ambitious mindset, eager to succeed in a new and evolving role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with R/Python for data analysis is a nice-to-have.
