Ardent Security is looking to hire talented individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity and want to learn, contribute, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of consultants. Our mission is to help organizations be more secure. We currently have openings for web application penetration testers. These are full-time and part-time positions. Initial on-boarding and training will require on-site presence to our downtown Toronto office, but most of the work will be performed remotely (work from home).
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Perform web application penetration testing
- Perform thick client penetration testing
- Perform mobile (iOS and Android) penetration testing
- Perform Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD security assessments.
- Deliver high quality reports (yes… reporting is fun!)
- Learn from senior consultants by performing ad-hoc tasks.
- Assist fellow consultants.
- Discover and document new tactics, techniques, and procedures used in the wild.
- Contribute to our online presence.
- Attend online events sponsored by Ardent Security.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or computer/software engineering or equilvalent.
- At least two (2) year of professional experience in offensive security operations OR:
- GIAC/SANS Institute certification(s): GPEN, GXPN, GWAPT, GMOB, etc…
- Offensive Security certification(s). OSCP, OSWE, OS**
- Proficiency with the tools of our trade: Burp Suite Pro, kali, Metasploit, etc.
- A college or university degree in a relevant fields or equivalent experience.
- No criminal record.
- Must be a Canadian or American citizen, or a Permanent Resident.
- Must be within the GTA and be able to come on-site to our downtown Toronto office for initial training.
- For security reasons, selected candidates must agree to perform an RCMP background check upon request prior to the start of their employment* (we will reimburse the cost if you pass! If you do not – well, buh-bye!).
*Only selected candidates will be contacted. Average response time is two weeks.
**Relevant web pentesting experience like CTF, HITB, and bug bounties is also considered a plus!!
***If you have claimed CVEs to your name, that’s definitely something you want to tell us.
****Proficiency in both official languages is desired.
