Entry Level - Fintech Support - With Salt Media
The Metis student Entry-Level FinTech Analyst will support our financial technology operations, data analysis, and software integration. You’ll work closely with senior analysts and IT teams to improve systems, manage digital transactions, and support new technology initiatives. You must be able to work 20 hours a week, and some of those hours will include working onsite in our Grande Prairie office during office hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and improving financial software platforms.
- Collect, clean, and analyze financial and operational data.
- Support system integrations and testing of financial applications.
- Monitor automated financial processes and flag discrepancies.
- Collaborate with technology and finance teams to improve user experience.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to track financial performance.
- Provide user and client support for fintech tools and platforms.
List minimum requirements:
- You must be a Metis student working towards a diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of financial systems, data analytics, or accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- You are interested in financial technology, blockchain, or automation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills are important.
Optional but attractive skills:
- Experience with Python, R, or financial APIs.
- Understanding of fintech products like payment systems, lending platforms, or robo-advisors.
- Knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in finance or tech.
- Competitive entry-level salary.
