We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head of Cybersecurity to lead Defence and Response function. In this strategic leadership role, you will be fully accountable for the end-to-end Threat Response function, including cyber incident response, capability development, and execution of regular threat simulation drills and exercises. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain and enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture, ensuring readiness against emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Cyber Threat Response function, ensuring full accountability for incident detection, containment, investigation, and resolution.
- Develop and build cybersecurity incident response capabilities, including processes, tools, and team skills.
- Plan and conduct regular incident response exercises and tabletop drills to maintain operational readiness.
- Manage real-time cyber incidents, including containment, impact assessment, root cause analysis, and reporting to senior management and regulators.
- Monitor and assess new and emerging cyber threats and attack vectors, evaluating their potential impact to the organization.
- Drive proactive threat hunting activities to detect advanced threats before they materialize.
- Collaborate across business, IT, risk, and compliance functions to strengthen overall cyber resilience.
- Ensure effective and timely reporting of cybersecurity metrics, incidents, and risks to senior stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the cybersecurity team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on incident response, threat management, and team leadership.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, CISM) are required.
- Strong technical expertise in cyber incident handling, including containment, forensics, and recovery.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and experience engaging with external auditors and regulators.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical and holistic approach to solving complex cybersecurity challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to act with urgency, adapt quickly, and deliver results under pressure.
