Position: Procurement Manager – Infrastructure & International Sourcing

Location: Hyderabad

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee infrastructure-related purchases and vendor management across multiple campuses. The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end procurement, from vendor sourcing and negotiation to import/export coordination — particularly for electronic goods and lab equipment sourced from China and other countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement operations across all campus locations for infrastructure and technical requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors, contractors, and suppliers (domestic and international).
  • Conduct first-hand negotiations for better pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and logistics for electronic and lab equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, government import norms, and institutional quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships for long-term cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and project teams to plan procurement budgets and timelines.
  • Track market trends, pricing updates, and supplier performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering / Business Administration.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in infrastructure procurement or vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, particularly for China and Southeast Asian markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and vendor management tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
