Front End Engineer (React / Next.js) – Remote (Office in Manchester) – £70–80k
Tired of being handed pixel-perfect mockups and told to “just build it”?
Here, you’ll actually shape how things look, feel, and perform — working on modern React and Next.js apps that sit right at the core of the product.
This team’s where product, design, and engineering meet. You’ll be hands-on with React, Next.js, and a little Playwright for testing — building clean, fast front ends that connect seamlessly into a .NET environment (you don’t need to be a .NET dev, just comfortable working alongside them).
What you’ll be doing:
• Building and evolving React / Next.js front ends for customer-facing products.
• Collaborating with backend (.NET) engineers to deliver seamless experiences.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code (Playwright or similar).
• Helping define component standards, performance practices, and front-end best practice.
• Bringing ideas to the table — not just tickets.
What you’ll need:
• Solid experience with React and Next.js (ideally with TypeScript).
• Knowledge of UI testing tools like Playwright.
• Comfortable working in a .NET-backed environment.
• A passion for performance, usability, and clean design.
Why it’s worth your time:
You’ll be joining a team that genuinely values engineering craft — not firefighting, not endless rework. There’s proper autonomy, a modern stack, and a clear view of the impact your code has on the product and the people using it.
