Cyber Intelligence Analyst
Sunbury-on-Thames (Hybrid / Remote)
BP is hiring a Cyber Intelligence Analyst to support its cyber intelligence function, helping protect digital assets, systems and global operations from evolving cyber threats.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitor and analyse the cyber threat landscape, linking key threats to BP systems, technologies and data.
- Provide actionable intelligence to incident response teams to help prioritise investigations and remediation.
- Identify weaknesses across people, process and technology and recommend actions to strengthen BP’s cyber defences.
- Support improvements in threat detection, monitoring and response capabilities across digital security teams.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to ensure threat intelligence drives decision-making and reduces attack surface.
- Map intelligence to sources and help refine collection strategies and intelligence frameworks.
What you’ll need
- Experience analysing cyber threats, attacker tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and turning insights into actions.
- Strong understanding of intelligence analysis methodologies.
- Experience working within a cyber defence or threat intelligence function.
- Ability to interpret large data sets and apply intelligence to identify attacker behaviour.
- Strong communication skills — able to translate complex threats to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in cybersecurity, intelligence, IT security or similar.
- Degree in Cybersecurity / Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Certifications like CISSP, CISM or CISA are beneficial.
- Experience collaborating with government bodies or industry cyber security groups is a plus.
