The Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, supporting strategic business decisions. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional passionate about turning data into meaningful outcomes across Australia’s diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources
• Develop predictive models and algorithms to support business initiatives
• Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data findings into actionable strategies
• Conduct statistical analysis and interpret results to inform decision-making
• Optimize data pipelines and ensure data integrity and quality
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data science tools, techniques, and best practices
• Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role
• Proficiency in Python or R and experience with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data preprocessing
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
