Senior Software Engineer - Frontend / Open Source

We are partnered with a rapidly scaling, open-source technology company focused on building the future of MLOps and AI development tools. The team is seeking an exceptional Senior Frontend Engineer to take ownership of the visual and interactive experience for their widely-used platform, directly impacting thousands of ML and AI Engineers worldwide.

This is a role that can either be conducted onsite in Munich or remotely between CET-3 and CET+3. (If not based in Germany, ability to work via B2B is a requirement).

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Frontend Engineer position:

• Conceptualize, plan, and develop the open-source dashboard and UI for a complex MLOps framework.
• Architect and build features for the professional-grade application using modern web frameworks.
• Maintain and contribute to the company's open-source, shared component library.
• Collaborate closely with product designers and backend developers to optimize usability and user experience (UI/UX).
• Provide technical direction to influence the product roadmap and frontend architecture.
• Actively work to improve frontend development velocity and Developer Experience (DX).

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of substantial frontend development experience, with a demonstrated track record of building complex, high-performance web applications.
• Strong expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern styling libraries (e.g., Tailwind CSS).
• Deep experience designing and maintaining reusable component systems and shared component libraries.
• Proven ability to simplify complex interfaces with elegant UI/UX solutions.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks like Next.js and state management solutions (e.g., React-Query).
