Title: Co-Founder & CTO (Equity-Only, Remote — EU)


Note: Fully remote across EU/EEA. Location shows Ireland for admin; we’re remote-first.


Compensation: Equity only until our pre-seed closes; full-time salary begins post-raise. This is a true co-founder role.

Privaro exists to replace privacy theatre with engineering-grade trust. Platforms and regulators now demand evidence, not just intentions—and customers do too. We are building a global trust layer that embeds enforceable guardrails and portable proof into the data lifecycle, enabling companies to move swiftly without breaking rules.


Just as SSL standardised confidence for transport-layer security, Privaro is establishing trust standards for data permission and provenance. When trust is embedded, signals aren’t blocked, analytics remain reliable, and AI programmes can scale responsibly. Compliance becomes a catalyst, not an obstacle.



Your Blueprint


  • Translate the “SSL for Trust” vision into a technical strategy, phased roadmap, and resilient multi-tenant platform (cloud, AWS preferred).
  • Lead the hands-on, end-to-end build from MVP to production: core primitives, APIs, data flows, and guardrail layers.
  • Establish a best-in-class security & compliance posture from day one (secure SDLC, privacy-by-design, ISO 27001/SOC 2 readiness).
  • Recruit, lead, and mentor the founding engineering team; set the bar for quality, velocity, and security.
  • Represent the technology and vision with investors, partners, and early customers; steward our core IP.



About you


• Security-first builder with 8–10+ yrs shipping/scaling B2B SaaS (cloud, multi-tenant, high availability).

• Can run a secure SDLC end-to-end (threat modelling, CI/CD, IaC, secrets/IAM, observability).

• Privacy-by-design in practice (purpose limitation, minimisation, retention, auditability) aligned to EU rules and major platform policies.

• Strong API/data platform chops (event pipelines, idempotency, rate-limiting, incident handling); pragmatic with TypeScript/Node or Go/Python.

• Founder mindset: hands-on (80%+ coding through MVP), scrappy, reliable executor who can hire and lead a small senior team.

Based in the EU/EEA with the pre-existing legal right to work within the EU.
