We are looking for a talented Electronics and Software Engineer to join our ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) development team in Riga. This is a full-time, hands-on position for someone passionate about marine technology, embedded systems, and prototyping. You will design and program control electronics, develop Python-based tools, and build and test prototype systems for ROV and underwater applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and integrate electronic control systems for ROVs
- Write, test, and maintain Python scripts for automation, control, and data acquisition
- Program and debug Arduino and other microcontroller-based systems
- Design and 3D print custom mechanical and electronic housings for underwater components
- Assemble, calibrate, and test ROV hardware, sensors, and propulsion systems
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and marine engineers to improve system performance
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Proficiency in Python and Arduino (C/C++) programming
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, sensors, and motor control
- Experience with 3D modeling and 3D printing
- Hands-on approach and ability to prototype and troubleshoot effectively
- Good English communication skills (Latvian or Russian is a plus)
- Experience in the ROV, robotics, or underwater technology industry
- Knowledge of Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or CAN bus systems
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks)
- Understanding of pressure-resistant enclosures and waterproofing techniques
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
