Developer of reliable data communication systems for drones and other vehicles


AnyWi Technologies is a company specialised in dependable and secure communication for mobile, embedded systems such as vehicles (sea, land, air) and ground. We participate in European R&D projects and seek a skilled embedded systems developer to join our team and contribute to the development of dependable and secure communication solutions for mobile, embedded systems such as vehicles, drones, and industrial equipment. Our mission is to provide safe and efficient communication between devices and ground, leveraging various access technologies like 4G/satellite, and WiFi.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain reliable and secure communication systems for drones, industrial vehicles, and other embedded systems.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of different access technologies into a single C2 link.
  3. Participate in the work of AnyWi’s European R&D projects.
  4. Conduct thorough testing and validation of communication systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and security over the IP protocol family with hardware-based security features.
  5. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in embedded systems, ensuring our solutions remain competitive and innovative.
  6. Develop in C/C++ for the target platforms and higher-level languages (e.g., Python) for tooling. 
  7. Assess new languages, methods, tools and technologies for development, maintenance and deployments (Machine Learning/Deep Learning, Rust, etc.)
  8. Support the DevOps work of commercially deployed systems when needed.


The position is ideal for developers with a master’s degree or similar (including a Ph.D.) in engineering or computer science with a real interest in connected industrial systems. You should be interested in working independently while at the same time collaborating with colleagues within our own development group as well as with partners from companies and research institutions across Europe and adapting to the various challenges arising along the way.

AnyWi is based in Leiden, The Netherlands, which is also the place of work.
