Embedded Software Engineer

Freelance Embedded Software Engineer (12 month contract) – Hybrid | North Brabant

We’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a high-tech team in North Brabant (hybrid, 2–3 days on site).

You’ll develop C/C++ software for cutting-edge hardware, from low-level drivers to real-time features, working closely with electronics and firmware teams.

What you’ll do:

• Develop embedded software (C/C++) on ARM-based MCUs

• Work with RTOS or Embedded Linux

• Integrate sensors & communication protocols (SPI, I²C, UART, CAN)

• Debug using JTAG and lab tools

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in embedded development

• Strong C/C++ and hardware interaction skills

• Hands-on debugging and problem-solving mindset
