Construction Project Manager

Role Overview

A workspace provider is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee new site openings and refurbishment programmes across its portfolio. This role involves managing outsourced delivery partners, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with established design standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end programme management for new openings and refurbishments, coordinating with external partners to ensure clarity on scope, timelines, and escalation of risks.

· Own delivery outcomes across cost, schedule, and specification.

· Ensure fit-outs meet global design and build standards through effective oversight of third-party contractors.

· Plan and execute estate maintenance and upgrades with minimal operational disruption, prioritising high-ROI initiatives.

· Manage internal and external stakeholders to align priorities with business needs.

· Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations while maintaining strong working relationships.

· Leverage industry contacts to engage the most suitable vendors for each project.

Success Metrics:

· Timely and cost-effective execution of assigned projects in line with design specifications.

· Optimised supply chain aligned with local market standards and pricing.

· Effective onboarding and training of vendors to ensure compliance with design and construction guidelines.

Candidate Profile

· Extensive experience in project/programme management within fast-paced sectors such as retail, hospitality, banking, or consultancy.

· Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent openings under tight deadlines and budget constraints.

· Commercially astute with a track record of cost reduction and standardisation.

· Strong problem-solving mindset and customer-first orientation.

· High attention to detail and ability to thrive in environments with ambiguity and change.

· Resilient and goal-oriented, with a focus on strategic outcomes.

· Architectural background + experience in refurbishment and maintenance management is advantageous.

· Skilled in influencing stakeholders across diverse geographies and cultures.

· Familiarity with competitive tendering and managing design & build partners is a plus.
