Research Software Engineer
36 uur per week
Location Eindhoven
IKNL's mission is to improve oncological care by generating insights from data. To achieve this, we make oncology data accessible nationally and internationally, in collaboration with partners such as hospitals, DHD, and CBS, and we explore how techniques like AI can be applied to further automate data collection and to learn more from internal and external data sources. As a research software engineer, you will be part of the Clinical Data Science team and work on multiple projects that primarily focus on bringing machine learning algorithms into production to automatically populate the Netherlands Cancer Registry (NCR).
Primary Responsibilities
- develop and deploy machine learning algorithms within multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists, to populate the NCR
- collaborate with data scientists on other MLOps projects
- explore new techniques and opportunities for future projects
Requirements
- MSc in computer science, mathematics, physics, biomedical engineering, data science, or a comparable field
- iextensive programming experience in Python; experience with R is a plus
- knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- experience with version control systems like Git and application deployment, particularly CI/CD, Linux, and Azure
- experience with MLOps best practices
- excellent command of English and either proficiency in Dutch or a willingness to learn the language
