Role Overview

Job title: Backend Software Engineer

Location: Warsaw

Hybrid work model

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer with proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems for software applications. The role involves working with technologies including Java 17, Spring Boot 3+, and database abstraction frameworks such as Hibernate. Familiarity with PostgreSQL and a basic understanding of frontend technologies like Angular 19 are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems utilizing Java 17, Spring Boot 3+, Hibernate, and other related technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform thorough debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Experience with version control systems like GIT, managing multiple levels of branching. Preferably Bitbucket, and GITHUB-like platforms.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
• Ability to breakdown project requirements into subtasks.
• Ensure high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code by following best practices and coding standards.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and a quality-oriented approach to development.
• Demonstrated ability to break down requirements into subtasks and effectively plan and deliver projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
