Healthcare AI Engineer – Solution Evaluation & Incubation

About the Role:
My client, a leading international healthcare group, is driving a major AI transformation across its operations in the UAE, UK, Greece, and the US. Their newly established Central AI Office is focused on rapidly identifying, evaluating, and integrating cutting-edge AI solutions to transform healthcare delivery.
As a Healthcare AI Engineer within the Solution Evaluation & Incubation team, you’ll be the technical lead enabling proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations of third-party AI solutions. You’ll design and maintain the infrastructure, data pipelines, and integration points that power these evaluations, helping assess scalability and fit within the broader enterprise AI architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage secure, scalable cloud or on-prem environments for AI solution evaluations.
- Build and maintain data pipelines to prepare and deliver evaluation datasets.
- Integrate vendor AI platforms and APIs; troubleshoot deployment and data compatibility issues.
- Automate repetitive evaluation workflows for faster POC execution.
- Assess vendor solution architectures for long-term integration and MLOps alignment.
- Document setups, data flows, and key findings; collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, and IT teams.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software/Data Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or MLOps.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools (Airflow, Spark, Kafka) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong API integration and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in MLOps or AI engineering for model deployment and monitoring.
- Knowledge of healthcare data systems (EHRs, FHIR, PACS, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Understanding of data governance and privacy in regulated environments.
