Title: SEO Manager
Role Summary
Lead and execute our SEO strategy to grow high-intent organic traffic, improve keyword rankings, and drive qualified leads/revenue. You’ll own end-to-end SEO across technical, on-page, content, and off-page, and work closely with marketing, product, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own the overall SEO strategy aligned with business and marketing goals.
- Build and manage the SEO roadmap (quick wins vs long-term projects).
- Conduct competitive and keyword research to identify growth opportunities.
- Educate internal stakeholders on SEO best practices and impact.
On-Page & Content
- Lead on-page SEO strategy (keyword mapping, internal linking, URL structure, meta tags, headings, schema where relevant).
- Work with content/creative teams on SEO briefs, content outlines, and optimization for new and existing pages.
- Ensure all content follows SEO best practices, brand voice, and meets search intent.
- Continuously test and refine titles, meta descriptions, and on-page elements to improve CTR and rankings.
Technical SEO
- Plan and lead technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, CWV, site speed, mobile UX, hreflang, canonicals, sitemaps, robots.txt).
- Work with developers to implement fixes; validate changes in staging and production.
- Monitor and resolve coverage issues, errors, and indexation problems via Google Search Console and other tools.
- Maintain a prioritized technical SEO backlog and track impact.
Off-Page & Authority
- Develop a white-hat link acquisition strategy (digital PR, outreach, content partnerships, resource placements).
- Evaluate link prospects, manage outreach, and track placement performance.
- Monitor backlink profile health and manage toxic links/disavow where necessary.
Analytics, Reporting & Experimentation
- Define and track SEO KPIs: organic traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions, revenue, and share of voice.
- Build and maintain SEO dashboards and regular performance reports.
- Use data (GA4, GSC, SEO tools) to identify insights and turn them into clear action plans.
- Run SEO experiments (content tests, internal links, page templates) and document learnings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with paid media, CRM, social, and branding teams to ensure consistent messaging and maximize overall performance.
- Work with product and UX/UI teams to ensure SEO is considered in new features and site changes.
- Provide SEO input for new campaigns, launches, and product pages.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (in-house or agency) with proven results.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and link building.
- Proficient with SEO tools (e.g., GSC, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker/Data Studio, etc.).
- Comfortable analyzing data and translating insights into clear recommendations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to brief, guide, and QA content and development work from an SEO perspective.
- Up-to-date with search engine algorithms, trends, and best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing or mentoring a small SEO/content team.
- Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript understanding.
- Experience in CRO, UX, or content marketing.
