The Role

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and building scalable systems. You’ll work closely with product, AI, and design teams to bring the freelancer journey to life — from onboarding → assessments → projects → payments.

You’ll architect and implement backend services, integrate AI workflows, and ensure performance and reliability across the platform.

What You’ll Do

Build core services for onboarding, assessments, notifications, projects, and payments.

Develop AI-powered features like semantic search, AI interviews, and fraud detection using ML pipelines.

Design scalable architectures using Java / Golang / Python, with caching, queues, and robust APIs.

Work with databases — Postgres/MySQL (relational), MongoDB/DynamoDB (NoSQL), and VectorDBs for semantic search.

Deploy and maintain infrastructure using AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Infra-as-Code, and CI/CD.

Implement observability — logging, monitoring, and alerting via Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to ensure seamless user experiences.

What We’re Looking For

Strong programming skills in Java, Golang, or Python.

Experience with distributed systems, caching, and message queues.

Proficiency with Postgres/MySQL, MongoDB/DynamoDB, and optionally VectorDBs.

Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with AI-integrated systems (semantic search, ML-based workflows, or automation) is a plus.

Strong debugging, optimization, and system design skills.

Curiosity, ownership, and a drive to build high-impact products.
