Senior Rust Engineer – Zürich, Switzerland

Our client, a leading tech company based in the heart of Zürich, is looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to join their high-performing team. Key Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Rust (other non-GC languages like C++, C, or Zig are also valued)
• Proven experience designing low-latency, high-performance software
• Solid understanding of Linux, including server administration, virtualization, and networking
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus
• Knowledge of financial derivatives (especially options) is an advantage

The Role:

As a Senior Rust Engineer, you’ll work on the core architecture of ultra-low-latency trading systems. This includes optimizing existing strategies and building new, robust features from the ground up. You'll collaborate closely with both software engineers and traders to ensure systems are fast, reliable, and scalable.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong commercial experience in Rust (or deep expertise in similar system-level languages like C++ or C)
• A passion for building highly optimized, real-time systems
• In-depth Linux knowledge and a solid grasp of modern infrastructure
• EU or Swiss citizenship is required

Location: Zürich, Switzerland / Hybrid

Salary: CHF 160,000 – CHF 200,000 + Bonus + Benefits
