Main Purpose

Responsible for developing and executing strategic technical activities that drive sustainable volume growth and ensure business continuity at the Pilar site, acting as the technical focal point between the site, PS, regulatory, and marketing teams.

Your mission will be to

  • Lead and manage strategic technology projects that support business continuity (dual sourcing initiatives, squeeze, moonshot, rollouts, rebranding, process capabilities, etc.), leveraging business analysis and project management tools aligned with the site's strategic priorities.
  • Lead the execution of business cases for technical strategic projects at the Pilar site, including the evaluation of operating costs (COGS), capital expenditures (CapEx), conversion costs (CC), raw material and packaging costs, implementation costs (One-Time Cost), regulatory requirements to supply all involved markets, and project timelines.
  • Lead governance meetings for projects within scope at Pilar, defining scope and deliverables for each initiative, monitoring schedules and milestones, assessing risks, tracking critical paths, managing budgets, evaluating the impact of aggregate volume demand on work center utilization, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Manage the medium- and long-term impact of added volume resulting from innovation, insourcing, and rollouts, monitoring plant capacity, production volume, and utilization of packaging lines and processing equipment.
  • Lead and manage Master Data activities (MBR & BOMs) for the introduction of new products, new technologies, new raw and packaging materials, artwork and specification design, and changes in processes and formulations.
  • Partner with the Product Maintenance Team on cost, efficiency, and productivity improvement programs through ongoing product verification (OPV).
  • Provide guidance to the Master Data team through tools such as purposeful coaching, effective feedback, and fostering a culture of psychological safety.
  • Ensure compliance with sector processes, including self-inspections of processes under responsibility, SOPs, change controls, and CAPAs resulting from audits, deviations, and technical support for product registration.
  • Promote a strong safety and environmental culture across all site operations, ensuring the design of processes and products that support an accident-free work environment.

Unlock your potential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Food Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology; postgraduate studies or certification in Project Management are a plus.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in areas such as Project Management, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, or R&D.
  • Background in technical requirements for pharmaceuticals for human use and galenic development is a plus.
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English (minimum B2); ability to attend calls and deliver oral presentations in English is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Advanced knowledge in the implementation of continuous improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing) in support areas; experience with digitalization processes and Industry 4.0 is a plus.
  • Advanced personal computer (PC) skills, including Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and SAP.
