The Traffic Manager will serve as the central hub for managing workflow, timelines, and resource allocation across the in-house creative team. This role is critical to ensuring that projects move efficiently from intake to delivery, maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness. As our in-house Creative & Marketing Operations department continues to grow in volume and complexity of work, the need for a dedicated Traffic Manager has become essential. This Traffic Manager will streamline operations, allowing creative talent to focus on execution rather than logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project intake, scheduling and assignment – Manage the 450+ monthly project requests, assign resources, and build timelines based on scope and priority.
- Cross-functional collaboration – Partner with Creative Manager and similar colleagues across the department to determine ideal delivery of that project.
- Workload management – Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to ensure timely execution.
- Resource allocation – Balance workloads across design, event, video, and operations teams, optimizing capacity and utilization.
- Tool and process optimization – Maintain and improve project management systems (e.g., Asana, Workfront, Trello), ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Status reporting – Provide regular updates to leadership on project health, resource needs, and delivery timelines.
- Supporting large initiatives – Taking lead from the Creative Director and the Creative Manager, there are frequent initiatives that require broader support with detailed project plans and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, communications, marketing, or similar degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in creative operations, project management, or traffic management within an agency or in-house creative team.
- Located close to the local region office for frequent meetings and working sessions. Strong understanding of creative workflows across design, video, and digital production.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software like Smartsheet, Excel, Microsoft Planner and/or Adobe Workfront.
- Familiarity with DAM platforms and systems, specifically Bynder and how to manager user permissions, taxonomy and asset management.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
