JOB PURPOSE:
The Project Manager is responsible for project management and day to day supervision of all real estate, move management and building designation related strategies, plans and activities for the organization. The role involves coordinating the phases of the organization’s planned relocation to new facilities to ensure seamless execution covering pre-planning, stakeholder engagement, regulatory and approval requirements, task delegation, move execution, settling, and finalization deploying suitable project management skills and technical knowledge while ensuring integrity, transparency, thoroughness, and compliance.
RESPONSABILITIES:
Move Management
- Supervises end to end planning, stakeholder management and delivery of the company’s planned relocation to new facilities to ensure seamless execution covering pre-planning, stakeholder engagement, regulatory and approval requirements, task delegation, move execution, and settling
- Ensures the above is delivered to the agreed time, cost and quality criteria through deployment of suitable project management, risk mitigation and management and timely escalations and reporting
- Works closely with all internal and external stakeholders including building owners, contractors, vendors, and inspectors to ensure that all plans, processes, and tasks including dependencies are structured and supported in line with the required timescales and contract management best practice
- Coordinates planning and liaison between the company, its management/relevant departments, the building owners/management and any consultants/vendors (as may be required) to execute schematic and detailed designs for the move to ensure seamless physical fit outs at the new location, requirements for IT infrastructure, assignment of rooms and workspaces, detailed communication at every stage and actual physical move and settling of all equipment and staff
- Identifies needs, proposes and coordinates implementation of plans for sustainable facilities management and maintenance of the new facilities
Building Designation
- Reviews the process of the company's designation of buildings and manages the process including periodic/annual renewals of the company's designated status including property evaluations and technical due diligence, as required
- Collates all data required for designation of new buildings, including requirements laid out by Qatar Civil Defense (QCD), which require buildings to have their QCD approvals periodically/annually reviewed, as well as adherence to other norms as certified by appropriate and timely inspections
- Organises re-inspection of the buildings and renewal of the company's designation to take place in accordance with QCD expiry dates.
Real Estate Projects
- Leads, supports, and supervises the implementation of any assigned real estate projects for the company including management of project planning, cost estimation & budgets, negotiations with landlord, schematic and detailed designs, project construction, regulatory clearances, fit out and move management in alignment to leading practice fit for purpose to our organization's needs
- Manage all consultants, contractors and vendors related to the above ensuring best in class delivery and timely outcomes within budgets
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or other related discipline.
- Post Graduate qualifications + PMP or related certifications will be an added advantage
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building design, fit out and move projects with at least 4 years in positions with supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
