Project Manager (Technology & Transformation) – Fixed-Term (13 Months)

Salary: £48,500

Contract Type: Fixed-term, full-time (35 hours per week; compressed hours possible)

Location: Primarily home-based, with attendance at a London office required once per quarter (expenses covered)

Role Overview


As Project Manager (Technology & Transformation), you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the charity is operationally and technologically ready to deliver at scale. You’ll lead the development and coordination of the annual operational plan, oversee cross-functional projects, and drive improvements in business processes, systems, and technology. Your work will directly support the charity’s mission, helping to maximise impact and efficiency as the organisation grows.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage technology, data, and organisational change projects from inception to completion
  • Oversee business process mapping and improvement initiatives
  • Support annual organisational planning, ensuring technology and data requirements are integrated
  • Review and evaluate completed projects, assessing impact against objectives
  • Develop project plans, objectives, timelines, and budgets; manage risks and resources
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive action and alignment
  • Foster collaboration across teams and build strong communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and support to staff engaged in projects, promoting a people-centred approach to change
  • Uphold a culture of curiosity, continuous improvement, optimism, and commitment to social impact
  • Ensure compliance with policies, GDPR, and safeguarding requirements


Person Specification


  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and persuade in challenging circumstances
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams and delivering change management programmes
  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana)
  • Knowledge of data management principles and technologies (desirable)
  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems (desirable)
  • Passion for social impact and the charity’s mission
