Junior Operations Analyst

Our client, a growing Swiss Asset Manager, investing in both primary and secondary markets. For their Zurich office they are looking for Junior Operations Analyst to focus on the Private Equity side of business. The role combines many different elements and has a lot of opportunities to grow. You will part of team of 2 people, reporting to both Head of Operations and the CFO. For this role we are looking for a fluent German speaker with max 2 years of experience either in External Audit or junior experience in Private Equity (ideally in operations or fund controlling). Key responsibilities

  • Maintain reporting tools & spreadsheets for our clients
  • Support Operations Team on the Funds we manage : Annual Audit, NAV statement reviews, valuation calculations, document collection , review financial data & financial statements
  • Prepare capital call / distribution notices for specific investment portfolios and enter e-banking payments
  • Review / Control transaction fees of all portfolios, via bank platforms
  • Liaise with the custodian regarding our investment positions, ensuring timely resolution of their inquiries. Contribute to the year -end audit process.
  • Support on the preparation and coordination of Board Pack documents
  • Coordinate and prepare documents for Internal Monthly/Quarterly meetings (agenda, minutes and other supporting documents )
  • Collect and submit financial data for external tax advisors
  • Support with AML/KYC documentation – investor and investment level
  • Support the Head of Operations for the preparation of the investment restriction reports
  • Calculate figures for FINMA survey inputs
  • Prepare and coordinate the invoicing process
  • Contribute to formalizing existing processes within the organization and participate in their automation to optimize efficiency
  • Support CFO on Corporate Finance matters
  • Participate in the preparation of the Swiss Stamp Duty report
  • Provide support across middle - and back -office tasks as needed
  • Support other ad-hoc projects, as required


Key skills and Qualifications

  • Up to 2 years of professional experience in the asset management industry is a plus. Audit industry exposure will be highly valued. University graduates are also welcome
  • A higher degree (or equivalent) in business administration, finance or economics
  • Solid Excel proficiency
  • Good sense for presentation and communication of numbers
  • Strong organization al skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
