Job Description

We’re looking for a Product Designer — a UX/UI pro who’s curious, creative, and passionate about solving meaningful problems. You’ll take complex healthcare challenges and turn them into elegant, intuitive digital experiences that make a difference to millions of Australians.

At HealthShare, design is about making healthcare feel simpler and more human. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, collaborating with engineers, data teams, and stakeholders to shape products that are functional, inclusive, and beautiful.

You’ll combine user insight with design craft to create experiences that feel effortless, consistent, and impactful — guided by research, powered by technology, and inspired by empathy.

💡 What You’ll Do

  • Lead discovery and research — run interviews, usability tests, and field studies to uncover genuine user needs and behaviours, turning qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable opportunities.
  • Translate insights into design outcomes — craft user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces that solve real problems and look great doing it.
  • Collaborate across disciplines — partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Analysts to ensure solutions are both technically feasible and strategically aligned.
  • Design for everyone — create responsive, accessible, and scalable interfaces using Figma and modern front-end frameworks, ensuring a consistent and inclusive experience across all platforms.
  • Shape our Design System — contribute to and evolve the HealthShare Design System, ensuring design consistency, reusability, and scalability across a growing product ecosystem.
  • Embrace AI and innovation — explore and apply AI-assisted design tools to accelerate ideation, testing, and research

Desired Skills And Experience

🧠 What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years’ experience in UX/UI or Product Design (preferably in SaaS, tech, or healthcare).
  • A strong portfolio showing end-to-end design thinking and delivery.
  • Strong Proficiency in Figma
  • Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and design systems.
  • Curiosity about how AI and emerging tools can enhance design workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills — you bring others along on the design journey
