  • Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and other backend systems across Visable engineering teams 
  • Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end 
  • Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter 
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack 
  • Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale 
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

This is how you can impress us

  • You have good expertise in the development of scalable Web applications down to system levels  
  • You are an expert in different backend technologies (especially  Kotlin, JavaScript and Ruby, as well as Spring Boot …)   
  • You can impress us with experience with different cloud providers and infrastructure as code (AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CDK,...), as well as in designing APIs (OpenAPI, Contracts, etc.) and working with distributed systems  
  • You hold yourself and your team to a high bar when working with production systems 
  • You take pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems 
  • (Optional) Experience or interest in building data intensive applications
