Curious to know more? Take a peek at some of our projects:
- TERASUN aims to develop technologies making crystalline silicon photovoltaic (c-Si PV) solar cells more efficient and cost-effective, and to deploy a decision support tool for stakeholders.
- SOLARIS develops a European photovoltaic value chain, supporting the energy transition with circular solutions that reduce environmental impacts and strengthen energy independence.
At IDENER.AI, we are seeking a Senior Researcher to play a pivotal role in our ongoing projects in the field of renewable energy, with a focus on solar and thermal energy systems.
Responsibilities
You will be integrated into a dynamic R&D environment where your work will have a tangible impact. Your responsibilities will focus on:
- Comprehension of material resources, characterization, manufacturing processes and recycling methods across the entire PV and solar thermal value chain.
- Understanding and modelling manufacturing (i.e. micro- and nano-structuring methods, chemical etching or plasma-based processes) of PV thin films and coatings (silicon, perovskite, SHJ, CIGS, CdTe).
- Simulating and modelling solar farms to create digital twins and control tools.
- Implementing Artificial Intelligence-based forecasting methods to transition from predictive to preventive maintenance.
- Perform data analysis and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of solar, electrical and thermal components.
- Managing large-scale data for real-time analysis through efficient cloud deployment in decision support tools.
- Familiarity with Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO), techno-economic and sustainability aspects.
