AI Platform Engineer to Handelsbanken

You’ll build and operate modern data, machine learning, and GenAI capabilities that power insights and solutions with real impact for our customers and colleagues.

Your team

Our cross-functional team, consisting of Data and Platform Engineers and a Product Manager, combines deep technical expertise with a passion for innovation. Together, we design scalable solutions that use statistics, machine learning, and GenAI to solve real business challenges across the bank.

Your role

As an AI Platform Engineer, you’ll develop and maintain our hybrid data platforms and design efficient data and machine learning pipelines that serve as the foundation for our AI initiatives. Our environments span both on-premises and cloud platforms, so you should enjoy hands-on engineering, especially in Linux—bonus points if you prefer working in the terminal.

We believe DevOps and solid software engineering practices are essential to delivering AI in production. You’ll collaborate closely with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists to ensure our platforms are robust, scalable, and ready for innovation. You’ll also have opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and grow your expertise in e.g. CI/CD, MLOps, and data pipelines as part of a supportive, knowledge-sharing team.

Your profile

You have strong software development skills, with knowledge of Python and SQL, and a deep understanding of system design. You hold a university degree in a technical field with strong academic results.

You’ve worked with data pipelines and ideally have experience with containers and Linux. You’re familiar with ML models and test-driven development practices. Since we collaborate across the organisation, strong communication skills are important.

As a person, you have excellent problem-solving skills and enjoy tackling challenges with code. You’re curious and inventive, continuously striving to learn and improve. You stay up to date with the latest developments and continuously explore new technologies and best practices to find the most effective solutions. You share our commitment to being smart, humble, and, above all, collaborative.
