We are looking for a Java Backend Developer, for our well-known client.

• Location: Poland, Wrocław
• Type of Work: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week from the office
• Employment Type: contract B2B

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer (Java/Microservices) with 5–10 years of experience to design and build distributed backend services in a high-performance environment.

You will work on cloud-ready microservices, leverage concurrency/multithreading, event-based messaging and modern engineering patterns to deliver scalable platforms for business-critical workloads.

Responsibilities

• design, build and document complex distributed backend services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot and design patterns
• build high-throughput microservices (multi-threading / concurrency / multi-node) and event-based processing pipelines
• develop RESTful APIs according to industry standards and best practices
• implement cloud-ready services, quick prototypes and internal tools to improve E2E application delivery
• participate in full SDLC: (design, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance)
• debug, troubleshoot, refactor and upgrade existing systems in production
• collaborate closely with product, architecture and QA to ensure quality and continuous improvement

Must have

• strong Java (Spring, Spring Boot, MVC),
• SQL
• microservices architecture & domain-driven design patterns
• experience handling high data volume and high throughput systems
• REST API design
• experience with messaging / event driven tech (Kafka or similar)
• ability to prototype quickly and improve systems iteratively
• ability to provide ongoing maintenance, improvements and optimizations
