DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (7–8+ years) with strong expertise in DevSecOps, IaC, cloud engineering, serverless pipelines, and SRE practices. The role involves driving automation-first operations, optimizing cloud resources, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable platforms.

Role and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Platform Owner to define appropriate DevOps strategy
• Lead an ‘automation-first’ approach to platform operations
• Monitoring automation pipelines and troubleshooting issues
• Supporting the business in the use of Azure DevOps
• Lead DevOps practices across the platform
• Lead Infrastructure as Code strategy
• Act as a key interface for automation across multiple teams (ServiceNow, Cloud etc.)
• Monitor platform performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues
• Optimisation of cloud resources with a focus on best value.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project team members, vendors and operational teams as required.

Requirements/Qualifications and Skills:

• Can-do, pragmatic, hands-on and innovative style of working
• Expert knowledge of DevOps/Application Lifecycle Management tools, particularly Azure DevOps, automation and methodologies used to deploy solutions within a Cloud platform
• Experience working with containers, Kubernetes and the Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience managing Infrastructure as Code (IoC)
• Working knowledge of Azure CLI, PowerShell etc.
• Experience with monitoring solutions and experience of best practice and optimization
• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to articulate solutions to a senior as well as a detailed/technical audience
• Strong team player
• Experience working within software development or SaaS / cloud architecture groups
• Understanding of test frameworks for automated testing/compliance
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly and pass on this knowledge onto other team members
• Experience coaching others in following best practices and new ways of working
• Understanding of security best practices and automating these standards as part of the release process
