As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing all IT systems across Cloud Spaces. You will provide technical support to staff and clients, ensure network security, manage software and hardware upgrades, and oversee data backup and recovery systems. This role is critical in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

IT Systems & Maintenance

  • Maintain and optimize computer systems, including servers, personal computers, printers, and security software.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Implement and manage backup processes, ensuring reliable data storage and retrieval.
  • Monitor systems to assess the need for upgrades or replacements.

Network & Security Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain networks, servers, and software applications.
  • Assess and manage security programs, including antivirus, spyware protection, and password policies.
  • Ensure the secure performance of all IT systems and compliance with organizational IT standards.

Technical Support & User Assistance

  • Provide desktop support to staff and clients, in person, over the phone, or via remote desktop.
  • Install and configure operating systems, applications, and new hardware.
  • Set up user accounts, manage profiles, and handle password-related issues.
  • Assist with roll-out and testing of new applications and technologies.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple open IT cases and respond within agreed timeframes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Maintain technical documentation and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Liaise with external vendors for hardware maintenance, software support, and managed hosting.
  • Rapidly establish good working relationships with clients, staff, and software developers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar IT support or technical role.
  • Experience in IT helpdesk support preferred.
