SR. ACCOUNTANT, PAYABLES

Primary Purpose Of The Job

This position plays a pivotal role in the financial operations of all the LNG international entities and QEMT1. The position is responsible for overseeing complex accounting activities, managing cost allocation processes, coordinating budget mapping, and leading the consolidation of the international entities’ financial statements in addition to QEMT1. This role ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, enhances financial transparency, and supports strategic financial planning. In addition, work as Focal point for the External & internal Audit.

Required Experience And Skills

• At least 12 years of experience in medium to large organization with adequate exposure to accounting & finance functions. Previous experience in similar capacity in an oil and gas industry
• Knowledge of systems in a computerized business environment which includes knowledge and experience in MS Office packages especially excel, SAP or similar advanced ERP systems.
• Excellent people management/leadership and coaching skills
• Strong analytical, writing, communication and problem solving skills
• Knowledge and experience of IFRS and GAAP
• Ability to understand complex technical issues in multiple disciplines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with diverse cultures, backgrounds and creeds
  
  

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor in Commerce / Business / Accounting and preferably a Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant / Cost & Management Accountant / MBA in Finance
